I called the city hall and spoke with a very nice lady who was only doing her job and inquired about when the city plans to start picking up all the branches that came done during the ice storm. I figured they had already set something up so people who can start cleaning up and could put it to the curb no more then 4 feet long and less then 45 pounds tide up in bundles on there normal garbage day. She told me that there was meeting on Tuesday on this issue and they have decided they wouldn't be starting the clean up any earlier then April 24/2014 in my area which would be the normal date in past years for brown bag pick up. I cant believe for the life of me why the city or who ever decided this after one on the worsted storms that has hit this city in many years and I would have to think 1977 would compare. The city is getting money from the province to cover a lot of the cost. Please tell me if I am off base.
